ORGANICS
Yard Trimmings & Food Scraps Yard trimmings and food scraps only. No bags, packaging, garbage or debris. No raw meat or liquids. No palm trees or fronds, succulents, cactus, genista (brooms) or poison oak. Sod may be accepted at this rate.
Commercial Food Scraps Clean loads of food scraps, cannabis, and BPI and CMA-W Certified Compostable Products from pre-approved generators and/or venues, events
Clean Dimensional Lumber No treated or painted wood, cedar shakes. Cannot be mixed with other materials, including yard trimmings.
Logs and Stumps Greater than 3 feet in any dimension

Mixed Loads of Concrete & Asphalt Clean or mixed loads
Clean Oversized Concrete Up to 42 inch length, or concrete with rebar or pipe less than 8 inches exposed.

Appliances with Refrigerant Refrigerators, air conditioning units, water coolers
Commercial Appliances with Refrigerant
Electronic Waste Televisions, computers and microwaves must be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste area for recycling. Please deliver before arriving at he scales. It is illegal to dispose of electronic waste items in the trash.
Mattresses & Box Springs Ten (10) or fewer mattresses

TIRES
For more than 3 tires, the per-tire rate is in addition to the solid waste rate. Waste Tire Hauler Certification & Manifest are required for disposal of 10 or more tires.

TREATED WOOD WASTE (TWW) may require DTSC Permit or Variance. Visit dtsc.ca.gov or ReGenMonterey.org for DTSC-required customer information.
Declared TWW will be charged at the basic sold waste rate, plus service fee per load. Complete the TWW Disposal Form to declare.
Undeclared TWW entire load will be charged the problem waste rate, plus service fee per load.
SPECIAL WASTE REQUIRING PRE-APPROVAL
Rate per ton + $100 processing fee. The following materials require advanced approval from ReGen Monterey staff, a service fee, and may require analytical test results (typically 3-5 days). Use of belly dumps requires prior approval and may be subject to a $20 special handling fee per truck. All Loads are Subject to Hazardous Waste Load Checking. Hazardous and other prohibited materials, as defined under California law and regulations, may not be disposed at the Monterey Peninsula Landfill or the Materials Recovery Facility. If hazardous materials are found in loads, the hauler is responsible for all costs associated with management of the hazardous material. In addition, ReGen Monterey may notify state and local regulatory agencies, and the responsible party or parties may be subject to civil or criminal prosecution, or both.
