In response to the tragic death of “Baby Marina”, the infant found at MRWMD’s Material Recovery Facility on April 28th, the care, concern and generosity of spirit expressed from the MRWMD staff, board and community members has been overwhelming and so very heartening. The generous outpouring has been amazing, including, $3,425.00 of unsolicited donations from staff, board members and the public, cremations services offered by the Bermudez Family Cremations and Funerals and a final resting place offered by San Carlos Cemetery. The Coroner will ultimately decide how her remains will be cared for. What rises from this tragedy, is that we “Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself.” — Desiderius Erasmus
